What to expect
We like our church to have a homely, friendly feel to it so we have taken out the old pews and carpeted the floor. We have moved the 'front' to the side and our new, cushioned seats are arranged in a not-quite-semi-circle formation.
At the front (which is now at the side) is a modest lecturn (stand/desk), an overhead-projector and 3 microphones for the music group.
The main Sunday morning meeting normally lasts about one and a half hours - the first half hour being set aside for singing our worship & praise songs, the 2nd half hour for news, notices, prayer requests and sharing of personal experiences of God's blessing in the lives of the congregation (and their loved ones) and the final half hour is for to the sermon. The children go out to one of the other rooms for their own lessons during the sermon.
After the meeting tea, coffee and biscuits are served.
